Master Ashiatsu Practitioner

Amber

A good friend of mine once described me as being naturally inquisitive. I am curious; always asking questions and eager for knowledge.  This led me to find Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage, a modality that most aren’t aware exists. I instantly knew that this is what I would offer to my clients. The pressure that I can sustain is unmatched and the fluid movement allows for better body mechanics. It’s a win for both myself and the client!

My passion lies in health and wellness and I love sharing my gift as a massage therapist to help others continue to stay active in their life - doing what they love to do.

Emily

Emily first started her career in the horse industry, while working within that community for over 20 years she has performed body work on horses of all disciplines, and soon shifted that focus over to people. She attended massage school in South Florida and has since been a licensed therapist for over 10 years. Now solely focusing on massage body work of the human variety it allows her to have time for her other passions which are olympic style weightlifting, traveling, yoga, hiking, and camping with her dog Iris. This career shift has allowed for Emily to find her niche in working with athletes. While Athletes are only a fraction of clients Emily sees, she also works with prenatal clients and those recovering from injuries as well as surgeries. Emily has a knack for reading the body and finding the spots that need body work the most. This allows her clients to receive the massage that’s best suited for them and building that relationship between client and therapist.

Movement Therapist

Lauren

Lauren has over 15 years of experience in both the Fitness and Physical Therapy world. Her unique approach blends her knowledge of Exercise Science, Physical Therapy, and Clinical Massage to come up with the best custom treatment plan possible for you.  With her extensive background, she is able to help identify her client's postural imbalances and root cause of pain through great listening skills and assessment.  Lauren has treated many different diagnosis of both acute and chronic pain, along with athletes to the elderly and everyone in between.

After being frustrated and burned out from the insurance base Physical Therapy model, she decided to pursue a new career in Clinical Massage.  Her treatment style is a blend of hands on tissue work, cupping, IASTM, vibration tools, and/or kinesiotaping, depending on her client's needs.  When beneficial, you can expect to spend portions of your sessions with her off of the massage table addressing muscle imbalances, functional movement, and corrective exercises.  She believes taking a movement-based approach by blending kinesiology, neuroscience, and soft tissue work provides the best outcomes to her clients.  The end goal is to always empower the client with education and encouragement to take an active role in their own recovery.

Besides working as a LMT, she does continue to practice Physical Therapy (loves it too much to say good bye completely) seeing patients typically post hospital stay in a skilled nursing facility.  In her free time, she enjoys  lifting weights, running, pretending she will spend more time going to yoga, and trying to beat her friends on her Peloton.  She has a deep love for chocolate, black coffee and 90's hip hop. If you live in the area, you may also find her on a trail walking her 2 dogs with her husband and their son, Jake.

Trigger Point Specialist

Gary

Gary has been working in the massage industry since 2009. Having spent many years working in the physically demanding catering industry, he was transformed by the relief that therapeutic, deep massage provided.  The combination of pain relief, and a renewed ability to physically move through a full range of motion was the catalyst that led him to become a licensed massage therapist.  Being able to identify and treat someone’s discomfort, and feel the tissue start to change in session is quite possibly one of the most rewarding things about his work. His style uses a combination of trigger point techniques, strong deep tissue massage, assisted stretching as well as the use of cupping as an additional tool to release tight muscles and restrictions in the body.  With every session, he will customize bodywork to each client’s needs for treatment. Gary lives just outside of Phoenixville with his lovely wife and fur babies.

Tammy

LMT | MFR Therapist

Tammy has been in the health and wellness industry for over 30 years. She believes physical fitness and massage go hand in hand. As a licensed massage therapist for almost 20 years, her specialty/passion is Myofascial Release. She was blown away at her first certification course with John Barnes, (founder of myofascial release) and knew immediately that this type of corrective therapy was something she wanted to do. Trauma to our connective tissue (fascia) comes in many forms- falls, injuries, and even emotional trauma. Myofascial release allows our fascia to correct itself, relieving the pressure off our internal organs, and muscles. Tammy has gone on to take additional myofascial courses in Sedona, Denver and even to work directly with John in his Paoli office. Tammy also offers Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Trigger Point, Gua Sha and Reflexology. She has 2 fur babies (Buddy and Angel), loves working out, crafts, and traveling.

Chris

LMT | MFR Therapist

Chris is an LMT that specializes in clinical massage, sports massage, and lymphatic drainage. He received his B.S. in Exercise Science before his training as an LMT, and now has just shy of 5 years of clinical experience. Through these experiences/schooling, he has developed into a therapist that is adept at assessing and treating a variety of clinical complaints. He is able to figure out the root cause of issues by finding dysfunctions that have caused an issue or could lead to one in the future. He prioritizes preventative care, but he also works to reduce lymphedema or swelling in the case of an injury or surgery. He also works with local sports teams to do tissue work for pre and post-event on the day of or days leading up to/after an event. He is a strong believer that massage therapy can play a vital role in both preventing and rehabbing from injuries.
